About Me
Hi! I am Cara and I am glad you are here. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and I obtained my Master’s degree from Nazareth College. I have been working as a therapist for 15 years and I truly enjoy what I do. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, poor self-esteem, and life transitions. I work primarily with adolescents and adults. Prior to opening my own private practice in Fairport, NY, I have had experience working at two mental health clinics, in the psychiatric emergency department in a hospital, at a county jail, and as a school social worker.
Therapy Style
I offer a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches based on individual needs. The basis of my approach is psychodynamic, person-centered, and relational. I also integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), and motivational interviewing into my practice.

*Private pay is $135 per session.
